chapter XXV: what is going to happen

So, what is going to happen within the next months...

- We will play 4 more shows this year. Already looking forward to the Mind Trap release-show and our second weekend trip to Germany by the end of december:

29/12 Juz Hängematte, Sulzbach-Rosenberg w/ Sundowning, Red Apollo (had to cancel :( )

30/12 Cobra, Solingen w/ Values, Dull Eyes, Jungle Fever

31/12 Nexus, Braunschweig w/ Monarch!

- We are already in the planning process for the re-release of our demo on 12'' vinyl by PER KORO records. It will be out in early 2013. More details soon!

- We are also planning our first tour at the moment, which will take place in February 2013. Some dates still need to be fixed. More details soon, again.

chapter XXIV: august - september - october

Already months since the last post, sorry. Here's a little update about what happened in the meanwhile.
We played those shows:

- Alex Dietrich, good friend and amazing photographer, did a little shooting with us. We hung out in Vienna's biggest cemetery and started a fire somewhere in the suburbs. It was a good day. Here are a few examples of what came out. Seriously, support him: alexdietrich.at

chapter XXII: open the gate to the stars

Ok, I won't promise again to update this blog regularly, it never works out anyway. So what happened...

- Most important news first: OUR THANATOS 7'' IS OUT. We are excited to finally hold the records in our hands. Everyone should have received their pre-orders already. Thank you very much for supporting us! Sorry to everyone who waited months for the records to arrive.

- We were supposed to play this year's Sucks'n'Summer in Leisnig, Germany. Due to a tragic case of death, the whole Festival got cancelled. Our deepest condolences go out to the family and friends involved.

For this reason, we also had to cancel our show with Foreseen and Upright in Dresden. Still sorry about that!

chapter XXI: weekendtrip to germany

I want to deal with this in a separate post because this matter is very important to us. We just returned from our first weekender in Germany. The days from the 29th March to the 1st April were the best we had in a long time!
We are deeply thankful to everyone who helped organizing the shows, gave us to eat, drink and a place to sleep. We also want to say thank you to the other bands for sharing their equipment with us and of course to all the people who came to the shows and watched our sets. You all did more for us than we could have ever imagined. It is hard to describe our appreciation for you guys and girls.

chapter XX: yeah

We finally found motivation to update this blog. The last post was in October, a lot happened in the meantime.

- We played 2 shows in November. Our first show EVER outside of Austria took place in Leisnig, Germany. The bands and people were great, we had an amazing time. Thanks to everyone for checking us out, to Tommy for the show and the other Tommy for showing us Dresden and giving us a place to sleep :) Here is the flyer. (Black Haven and Mind Trap couldn't play, but Morgenthau Plan filled in - liked them!)



- The next show was on the 8th of November in Vienna at Venster 99, together with Hang The Bastard and Wolfwizard. Thanks to both bands and Michi for the show and everything. I think there was no flyer...

- We played a show in January with Harm's Way, Dead End Path and Brutality Will Prevail in Vienna.



- On Monday, 2nd April we played in Linz at Gasthaus Alte Welt, together with Scraps of Tape! Thanks to Tristan and everyone who came out. Look at this awesome flyer:



- We have new shirts (since November, haha)! All of them S-XL, black €10, brown 5€. Get them at shows or drop us a line (avalanche[at]live[dot]at)








- Our EPs are nearly finished, only the lyrics sheets are still missing. As soon as they are printed, pre-orders will be shipped! Sorry for the delay!

chapter XIX: looking for suitable headlines pisses me off

Nearly two months since the last post. Sorry.
A lot of things happened, I try to list them chronologically:

- We had to cancel the two shows on 9th (Bergwerk Neusiedl) and 10th September (house party in Hainfeld) for reasons of health. Still sorry about that.

- The artwork for our 7'' is finished and the title is fixed, it will be called "Thanatos". Here is the front cover:



- We uploaded the title track from our upcoming 7'', check it out on Facebook or Bandcamp.

- We played two shows since the last post. One of those with Born in the 80s and Demonwomb at the house party in Hainfeld #2. It was for sure one of the most amazing shows we have played so far. A lot of stupid pics and vids were made and a glass chandelier got destroyed. Thanks to the guys from Born in the 80s for inviting us again, since we had to cancel the first house party in September. - The second show in October was together with Goldust and Deathrite at the SUb, Graz. Thanks to Markus and Daniel. The trip with the rented van was incredibly hilarious and stupid, and Goldust & Deathrite played an amazing show. Great evening. Flyer:

- And finally the most important news. Pre-orders for our EP are up! Order now from Worship Records for purple vinyl or Green Menace Records for green vinyl and get a special pre-order cover edition. Thanks to Niels, Daniel & Loffe for their efforts.

chapter XVIII: we are lazy bastards

Our plans to update this blog regularly didn't really work out. Who cares, here are news about what happened and what will happen soon:

- We finally have a Bandcamp-page now. Check it out: avalancheXIII.bandcamp.com

- The two labels which will release our upcoming 7'' are Worship Records (ger) and Green Menace Records (swe). Thanks to Niels and Daniel for everything. We are currently waiting to get the cover design finished, thanks to Johan Stenbeck at this point for his efforts.

- New shirts are in the works.

- Our next shows will be those:
09th Sept. '11 w/ Determination, Irreal, Space Cell @ Bergwerk, Neusiedl
10th Sept. '11 w/ Born in the 80s @ some house-party in Hainfeld

chapter XVII: forsaken

Sorry for not keeping this updated, we'll try harder in future.

So, what happened until now... As already mentioned, we finished recording 5 songs in March. Thanks again to Werner for everything. We already uploaded one of the songs, called "Therianthropy", to our Myspace and Facebook. Go check it out.

During the last weeks, some plans concerning releasing these songs have been changed. We are not going to release a split with another band, at least not by now. Instead, we are currently talking with some record labels about releasing a 7''. More information as soon as something is fixed.

We played a show in Graz last Saturday, here's the flyer (Børedøm unfortunately missing on this one). Thanks go out to Wolfi for the show, to Børedøm for the backline, to Determination for organising the bus and to everyone who was there. We had a great time.

chapter XVI: dark clouds coming up

After long weeks of desperately looking for a studio and getting one cancellation after the other, we finally finished recording five of our newer songs yesterday. Big thanks go out to Werner, who really did a great job! We know it's not always easy with us, haha. We also want to thank Christoph from Mind Trap for helping us out with guest vocals.
The songs are going to be mastered soon. Keep an eye open!
